Angus Soft Fruits and its growers are proud to supply several leading UK multiple retailers.
The business supplies strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries of the best eating varieties, 12 months of the year.
Being grower owned and managed the business is able to react quickly to changing market requirements at a production level.
Angus Soft Fruits have invested significantly in extensive R&D facilities which are focussed on the breeding of new varieties and the development of new production techniques. Coupled with its in-house agronomy team which support its grower network this allows rapid commercialisation of new ideas.
Examples in recent years include the development of the patented Seaton System of production which has significantly extended the season in the spring and autumn. Angus Soft Fruits developed the strawberry variety AVA which allowed retailers to segment the category through the addition of premium lines.
At a category management level the business works closely with its customers in the analysis of waste and sales data with the objective of fine tuning activity to improve retailers’ performance as measured by market share and profitability.
