We are delighted to announce Angus Soft fruits were named as the “Fresh Produce Grower/ Supplier of the year” in the prestigious “UK’s Fruit & Vegetable Awards” held on Monday 8th of October in Coventry.
Angus Soft Fruits was recognised for the exceptional growth over the last 3 years, turning over £95 million in 2015 up to £148m in 2017 showing an increase of 56%! Our success & market outperformance comes from collaboration and innovation with customers and producers.
Key objective of increasing the duration of UK season allowing consumers to buy British berries for longer and to mitigate potential impacts to our industry following Brexit. This has been achieved via 25acres of heated tunnels in Scotland and 27-acre glass house production in Somerset, extending our production window by four extra months. Our UK fruit is now available from mid. March all the way through to December!

This year Ava Rosa strawberry variety was awarded “Fresh Product Of The Year 2018 “ at Co-op & Scotmid Scottish Supplier Awards. Ava Star, was also recognized as “New Best Edible Crop Variety” at Horticulture Week Business Awards 2018. It has been quite a year!
