Production Planner

Contract: Initially 6 month contract with possibility of becoming permanent
Hours: Guaranteed minimum of 32 hours over 4 days Wed-Sat start time 7am
Location: Salford Priors
Salary: starting rate £14.35 per hour

About the role
At the heart of our operations, turning customer demand into effective production plans that keep the business moving by developing and managing production schedules, coordinating resources and materials, and responding quickly to changing priorities. No two days are the same – balancing customer requirements, production capacity, stock levels and operational challenges to deliver the best possible outcomes.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with data, and being a key part of a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Creating and managing daily, weekly and monthly production plans.
  • Monitoring stock levels and material availability.
  • Identifying risks, bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Communicating plans and updates across multiple departments.
  • Supporting continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Helping ensure products are delivered safely, efficiently and on time.

About You
You’re highly organised, detail-focused and thrive in a busy environment where priorities can change quickly. You enjoy analysing information, solving problems and working collaboratively with others to achieve shared goals.

You’ll be confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and have excellent communication skills. Most importantly, you’ll be proactive, adaptable and motivated to make a difference.
