Lead a Team Producing the UK’s Favourite Berries

At Angus Soft Fruits, we’re looking for motivated and enthusiastic Team Leaders to lead our packing operations, inspire their teams and help deliver high-quality fresh berries to customers across the UK and around the world.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be responsible for driving performance, ensuring exceptional product quality and creating a positive team culture where everyone can succeed.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of a production line and the colleagues working on it.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, motivating and supporting a team to achieve daily production targets.
• Ensuring products are packed accurately and consistently to customer specifications.
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, hygiene and health & safety.
• Monitoring line performance and driving continuous improvement.
• Managing production plans, labour allocation and workflow to maximise efficiency.
• Completing quality checks and production documentation accurately.
• Working closely with Production Supervisors, Maintenance and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Supporting the training and development of team members and new Team Leaders.
• Identifying risks, issues or capacity constraints and escalating proactively.
• Contributing to trials, new product launches and improvement projects.

You’ll play a vital role in helping us deliver excellent products while creating a safe, productive and engaged working environment for your team.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who enjoys leading people and getting the best from a team.

You’ll ideally have:

✅ Previous Team Leader or Supervisory experience within a packhouse, food manufacturing or production environment

✅ Experience managing and supporting teams to achieve performance goals

✅ Strong understanding of food safety, quality standards and workplace health and safety

✅ Excellent communication skills in English

✅ Experience working with a diverse and multilingual workforce

✅ Strong organisational and planning skills

✅ The ability to prioritise workloads and make effective decisions under pressure

✅ A positive, proactive and solutions-focused approach

✅ Commitment to teamwork, continuous improvement and delivering great results
