Environmental & Social Responsibilities

Angus Soft Fruits is both committed and passionate in promoting a high standard of ethical and environmental trade practices across our farming and packing operations in the UK and overseas, these are cornerstones of our business culture.

Angus Soft Fruits has an Ethical Trade Policy for the protection of worker’s rights and the provision of safe working conditions, which reflects the principles of The Ethical Trading Initiative Base Code and the international standards set out in the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Conventions which we issue to our suppliers at home and abroad and work to achieve and maintain within the local context of each country.

At Angus Soft Fruits we take our responsibility to the environment seriously, and we strive to produce top-quality berries using sustainable methods – efficient production of safe, high-quality agricultural products in a way that protects and improves the natural environment, the social and economic conditions of farmers, their employees and local communities, and safeguards the health and welfare of all farmed species.

In addition, our Scottish growers have invested in renewable energy systems – building water storage to save rainwater and planting additional woodlands, hedgerows and windbreaks in order to enhance their farming practices and environments as much as possible.

The key to our success is our professional, flexible and highly experienced team. - John Gray, Managing Director
