Congratulations to our very own Sustainability Manager, Catherine, who recently graduated after completing a PhD at Heriot Watt University.
Catherine’s PhD was focused on purifying and studying sustainable food ingredients, through this she was part of the MARISURF project with her final thesis “Microbial bioemulsifiers and biosurfactants: Isolation, purification and functional properties” being submitted in February 2022. Catherine came to us in 2020 through the MDS Graduate Scheme as a MDS Trainee, working within the Retail Technical Team. In April 2021, Catherine became a permanent fixture within the Angus Team as our Sustainability & Ethical Coordinator and has since been promoted to Sustainability Manager.
Catherine’s hard work and determination throughout her PhD has continued through to the work she oversees and produces with us. We feel incredibly lucky to have her as part of our team and are incredibly proud of her achievements. Well done Catherine!!
